3WS is a Windows based software package executable under all Windows platforms.  3WS has been designed by production personnel in the manufacturing industry who require better controls in the weighing, mixing and packaging process. 3WS has received market acceptance due to being a stable and industry-proven product. Our product is fully validated and reviewed by the Federal Health Department, to fulfil Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). With our products installed, the traditional second checker is not required when dispensing, manufacturing or packaging.    The major 3WS modules are:

Task Preparation Set up users, work-stations, electronic balances, system parameters
Lotno Management Entering QC data, QC approvals, Expiry date, potency percentage setup
Batch Management Raising work orders, adjusting material required weights, adding rework
Dispensing Calibrating, weighing materials, barcode labelling, potency adjustment
Mixing / Mfg Barcode confirmation that all Dispensing labels are scanned during Mixing
Packaging Assembly of batch, Issue-to & Return-from PKG area, by RF scanner
Lot Location Mgt Rf scanning to manage all movements of materials, by Lot, by Location
Stocktaking Rf scanning and counting of Lot, by Location.  Cycle counting available
Equipment Cleaning Equipment status confirmation, then issue, plus Temp & Rel-Humidity mgt
Material Scheduling Confirm the production plan, highlighting any shortfalls
Reporting Reports on all aspects of 3WS including Electronic Batch Records (EBR)

This allows you to set-up the complete operational environment. This covers users, profiles, work-stations, balances, printers, label format files, system parameters and general system functionality.

This allows you to raise lot numbers, print barcoded Lotno labels and manage the QC status of lot details. All data fields are available in all label printing procedures across all programs.  The user can nominate which data is to be included in any label format. Labelling is available in all programs.   Lotno data can be automatically downloaded using the Interfaces from your ERP system.

Lot Label Example

You can raise work orders, dispense materials, print barcoded labels and generate production reports. Other features include, the adjust next item facility, excipient item processing, must-weigh-prior item and sequencing options. As each new site is installed other features will be developed.
Work order (batch) data can be automatically downloaded using the Interfaces from your ERP system.

Mixing / Manufacturing

We have expanded the Manufacturing module to include a number of new features for various sites.  Each site can decide to use a fixed PC or a Radio Frequency (RF) scanner program for these activities.  The radio frequency (RF) version of the manufacturing module eliminates the need for a fixed PC in the Mixing, Manufacturing or Volume Transfer rooms. The RF scanner program can run on different RF scanners, such as Intermec, Symbol etc.

During Manufacturing, the user scans the work order (batch) to mix or manufacture.  Then the barcode each Dispensing label is scanned, to confirm the correct material is being used.  The material's Lot Status and Expiry date are checked to ensure they are still OK.  This extra Lot confirmation is incase the Dispensing occurred a few days beforehand and the Lotno has now expired or been put On Hold.

The basic functionality of raising a Packing work order and enquiry are similar to dispensing. The major change between dispensing and packaging is: (a) the Assembly of the packaging material, (b) the Issue of packaging material and then (C) the Return of un-used packaging material after packaging operation is complete.  Labelling of returned material is also available, via Lotno management.

Packaging uses Radio Frequency (RF) scanners and includes confirmation of location details.

We have developed a number of reports to review QC, formulation and production data. The reporting module allows the user to include additional reports which they can develop on-site themselves. Once a report is included in the 3WS reports directory, it is immediately available for use via the normal security login procedure.

Material Scheduling

3WS allows the user to create a Production Plan which covers future work orders and optionally existing unfinished work orders.  The Scheduling module then expands the plan into a total quantity of each Material.  The program then checks these quantities against the current available materials Lotno quantities.  All shortfalls are identified, highlighting any Lotnos which are currently On Hold, plus the last Supplier used for any shortfall materials.

Location Management

The Lotno Location Management (LOCMGT) module uses radio frequency (RF) scanners to manage all movements of Lotnos across different Locations.  The Lotno and From-Location is scanned, followed by the quantity to be moved.  Then the To-Location is confirmed to complete the movement.  Additional RF scanner baased search features allow the user to investigate location details.  All movement data can be automatically uploaded using the Interfaces to your ERP system

Stocktaking

Each material can have a Stocktake Cycle nominated.  Then the user can develop a Stocktake Plan to include various material cycle groups, location range or specific materials.  A report can be printed to prepare the user for the stocktake.  However this report is probably not necessary, as the RF scanner is then used, to scan each Lotno and Location in the Stocktake Plan.  The actual count of the materials at that location is also entered.  Various enquiry features are available during this program.  Unexpected Lotnos and Locations can be added to the stock-count.  When the stocktake is complete a reconciliation report can be printed to show any variances.

Equipment Cleaning

This module manages the Bill of Equipment (BOE) for a work order, including assemblies which contain related equipment parts.  The actual room can also be set-up as an item of Equipment, to enable room specific management  This includes temperature and relative humidity monitoring, during production.  Alternative rooms, equipment parts and assemblies can be nominated.

For each item of Equipment, the Status is checked to ensure the equipment is CLEAN.  Then the equipment can be ISSUED to the work order.  The program also manages RETURNS of equipment, to enable other equipment to be used instead.  Alternative equipment and assemblies of equipment can be set-up for each work order.  The BOE work order is linked to the main 3WS work order to enable a full electronic batch record for the work order.  A full audit of all equipment usage and cleaning history is available for review.

Many different Interfaces are available to transfer data between 3WS and your existing ERP system (SAP, JDE, BPCS, MFG-PRO etc). A complete Interface Guide is published for details of this functionality.  The most common interfaces used are:

(a) Download Materials from ERP to 3WS

(b) Download Lotnos from ERP to 3WS

(c) Download Work Orders (batches) from ERP to 3WS and finally

(d) Upload work order usage including Lotno used back to ERP from 3WS

3WS allows extensive barcode labelling in every program.

Many types of labels can be printed - Lot Nos, Locations, Dispensing, Pallets, Work Orders, Finished Goods.

Almost any requirement can be labelled.
